These Oregon hotels, restaurants were included in the 2025 Forbes travel awards

With a coveted five-star rating awarded to just the best of what it considers to be the best, Forbes Travel Guide likes to brag about being the only independent, worldwide ranking system for luxury hotels, restaurants, and spas.

A number of locations in the Willamette Valley have been selected this year.

Five spaces were awarded in the Forbes 2025 Star Awards; none of them received the coveted five stars, although Forbes recognized two as enduring stalwarts on the list.

Newberg won the 2025 honors, and no place has done better with Forbes. nearby hotelFor the thirteenth consecutive year, the Allison Inn & Spa was awarded four stars for its hotel, spa, and restaurant, The Jory.

Additionally, the Allison was just named the 62nd finest hotel in the nation by U.S. News & World Report’s finest of 2025 rankings.

With its world-class Pacific Northwest tasting menus served in an ancient Victorian house downtown, The Painted Lady Restaurant earned Newberg a second mention in Forbes’ star rankings. For the thirteenth consecutive year, the restaurant was awarded four stars.

The Tributary Hotel in neighboring McMinnville was also awarded four stars for the second consecutive year. The hotel and the ambitious restaurant Okta, which won multiple awards before abruptly closing in September, launched in 2022.

Two high-end hotels in Portland were also listed in Forbes’ 2025 rankings. For the eighth and seventh consecutive years, respectively, The Nines and Heatman Hotel were ranked as recommended. (The Nines were also featured in a recent U.S. News & World Report ranking.)
