High wind warning for Grande Ronde Valley until Thursday night

At 6:37 a.m. on Thursday, the National Weather Service issued a strong wind warning for the Grande Ronde Valley that would last until 10 p.m.

As stated by the meteorological service, “South winds 25 to 40 mph with gusts 50 to 60 mph expected.”

“Frostbite on exposed flesh could occur in as little as 30 minutes due to the dangerously cold wind, which can reach 15 degrees below zero. Exposure of unprotected skin to these temperatures will result in hypothermia and frostbite. According to the weather service, prolonged exposure to such low temperatures can result in hypothermia. “Avoid windows during the windstorm and stay in the lower floors of your house. Keep an eye out for tree limbs and other debris. If you have to drive, exercise caution.

United Robots offers a service called Advance Local Weather Alerts that gathers the most recent information from the National Weather Service using machine learning.
