Following a collision that happened just before 11 a.m., a section of Interstate 84 is closed to traffic traveling west of Multnomah Falls.
Several automobiles were involved in the collision, according to news station KPTV, and numerous authorities are responding. Lanes heading east are still open.
A 4-mile stretch west of the falls has been closed due to the collision, but no casualties have been reported by the Oregon Department of Transportation. The number of automobiles involved has also not been disclosed.
The state agency stated in a news statement at 11:45 a.m. that there may be a protracted closure because of the snow accumulation in the Portland area.
