After several collisions on Thursday morning and afternoon, a section of Interstate 84 was closed to traffic west of Hood River for many hours.
Beginning at 10:45 a.m., authorities reported that over eight crashes were caused by winter road conditions. Authorities closed the interstate’s westbound lanes between Multnomah Falls and Hood River after the crashes happened in a four-mile stretch near the falls.
