Expect rain again on Sunday and highs of about 50 degrees after last week’s giant white flakes of excitement in the Portland region.
According to forecasters, there is a 100% chance of precipitation, with the majority of it falling after 1 p.m.
With a 90% probability of precipitation on Monday, the showers are expected to last into the Presidents Day holiday.
At higher heights, snow chasers can still experience the thrill. Between Saturday and Monday, the National Weather Service forecasted that the Cascades would receive at least a few more feet of snow. However, a winter weather advisory is in effect through Monday evening for Government Camp and mountain passes, and the weather service advises passengers to postpone their travels through the region if at all feasible.
Additionally, through Monday night, the weather service is alerting beachgoers to the increased risk of sneaker waves along the Oregon coast.
