According to Southern Oregon police, a former instructor at Rogue River Junior-Senior High School was taken into custody on Saturday on several charges of sexually abusing a former pupil.
According to a press statement from the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, Jesse Rex Orndoff, 30, of Selma, is charged with several charges of rape, sex abuse, and sodomy.
According to investigators, Orndoff is no longer employed at the Rogue River school; most recently, he was employed at the Rogue Christian Academy in Grants Pass. According to school district records, Orndoff left his role as athletic director and science teacher at Rogue River Junior-Senior High last June after being hired there in 2018.
According to his alleged victim, who is no longer enrolled at the high school, Orndoff’s abuse began when she was 15 and lasted for several years, ending when she was 17.
