Monday’s NCAA baseball game between the No. 7 Oregon State Beavers and the Xavier Musketeers will take place at Surprise Stadium in Surprise, Arizona.
Two p.m. is the scheduled time for the first pitch. (Update: Due to Monday’s morning game between UNLV and Indiana lasting ten innings, the game’s start time, which was originally set for 1 p.m., has been postponed by one hour.)
The Beavers are playing their last game of a four-game round-robin tournament after outscoring their previous three opponents by a collective score of 30-3.
In the season opener on Friday, the Beavers needed three late-game home runs to accomplish an 8-3 comeback victory over the Musketeers, the only competitive game throughout the first three games.
Actually, the only team to score against the Beavers this season is Xavier. In 15 scoreless innings, Oregon State’s weekend rotation of Nelson Keljo, Dax Whitney, and Ethan Kleinschmit has struck out 18 batters and given up just four hits, and the team’s pitching staff has not allowed a run in the last 18 innings.

Highlights include a three-hit performance on Sunday against Indiana and a game-winning two-run homer in the seventh inning against Xavier. With five hits, Arquette and leadoff hitter Trent Caraway are tied for the club lead. … Gavin Turley, a junior left fielder, has a hit in each of the first three games and enters Monday with a.444 batting average after hitting a three-run homer and driving in four runs against Indiana.
