According to authorities, a man died in Gresham on Wednesday after being struck by a car.
According to the Gresham Police Department, the collision happened just after noon in the 3800 block of Northeast Hogan Road. The driver was cited for reckless driving after assisting with the investigation, according to officials, and was moving at a comparatively modest pace. The motorist was not identified by the police.
According to a police news statement, the man, a pedestrian, was first transported to a hospital with what seemed to be minor leg injuries. At the hospital, he passed away.
He has not yet been publicly identified by the police.
