Luka Doncic, the standout guard for the Los Angeles Lakers, will not play against the Portland Trail Blazers on Thursday night.
For the game at the Moda Center at 7 p.m., LeBron James is doubtful.
On Tuesday night, the Charlotte Hornets (14-39) defeated the Lakers (32-21) 100-97 at home.
Due to the same left calf ailment that kept him out of action with Dallas before to his trade to Los Angeles, the Lakers chose to keep Doncic out as part of their injury management strategy.
James has a left foot ailment that is being treated, making him uncertain.
Regarding the Blazers (23–32), Scoot Henderson (right ankle injury), Robert Williams III (right knee discomfort), and Jerami Grant (right knee soreness) are still in doubt.
But Tuesday and Wednesday were full practice days for all three.
