Officials cautioned commuters who intend to cross Portland’s Morrison Bridge on Friday morning to anticipate more traffic than normal.
According to county spokesperson Sarah Hurwitz, crews will need multiple bridge lifts that will last 20 minutes each while they perform work on the bridge between 9 and 11 a.m.
Hurwitz advised passengers to plan ahead and create a backup route.
Six bridges over the Willamette River are maintained and managed by the county.
