Trail Blazers set an NBA season high in first half versus Hornets

The Portland Trail Blazers defeated the Charlotte Hornets 141-88 on Saturday night after scoring 27 fast-break points in the first half.

That’s the most any NBA team has had in the first half of the season.

The Blazers led 109-66 at the end of the third quarter after dominating the first half to take a 73-40 advantage.

The Blazers’ victory margin of 53 points is the biggest in the team’s history.

The Hornets shot 32% from the field, including 4 of 22 from three-point range (18.2%), which enabled the Blazers score fast-break points in the first half.

The Blazers finished with 36 points after scoring nine fast-break points in the second half.
