High wind warning for Northern and Eastern Klamath County and Western Lake County and Central and Eastern Lake County for Monday and Tuesday

The National Weather Service issued a strong wind warning for Northern and Eastern Klamath County, Western Lake County, and Central and Eastern Lake County on Sunday at 1:25 a.m. The warning was in effect from Monday at 10 a.m. to Tuesday at 4 a.m.

According to the meteorological service, “Southwest winds are expected to reach 35 to 45 mph, with gusts of up to 65 degrees possible.”

“Trees will fall and electricity lines may be damaged by damaging winds. There may be power outages. The weather service says, “Travel will be challenging, particularly for high-profile vehicles.” Keep an eye out for tree limbs and other debris. If you have to drive, exercise caution.
