High wind watch issued for Central Oregon for Monday and Tuesday

The National Weather Service issued a high wind watch for Central Oregon on Sunday at 3:45 a.m., which was in effect from Monday at 10 a.m. to Tuesday at 4 p.m.

According to the meteorological service, “Southwest winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts 45 to 60 mph possible.”

Damaged winds have the potential to topple electrical wires and trees. There could be widespread power disruptions. Travel could be challenging, particularly for cars with a lot of visibility. Unsecured objects will be blown around by gusty gusts. According to the weather service, there may be a few power outages and tree branches that are blown down. Keep an eye on the most recent warnings and forecasts for any developments. Driving in such severe winds can be challenging, particularly for cars with a prominent profile. Be especially careful.
