At 2:06 p.m. on Sunday, the National Weather Service issued a revised wind advisory for Jackson County, Josephine County, Eastern Curry County, Central Douglas County, and Eastern Douglas County Foothills that would be in effect from Monday at 10 a.m. to Tuesday at 1 a.m.
“Southwest winds of 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph are expected,” the weather service said. Weaker thunderstorms have the potential to produce stronger wind gusts.
“Unsecured objects will be buffeted by gusty gusts. The weather agency says that there may be a few power disruptions and the possibility of tree branches being blown down. Strong winds like these can make driving challenging, particularly for well-known cars. Be especially careful. Light outdoor items should be secured to avoid loss or damage.
United Robots offers a service called Advance Local Weather Alerts that gathers the most recent information from the National Weather Service using machine learning.
