The National Weather Service issued an updated strong wind warning for the Clatsop County Coast, Tillamook County Coast, Central Coast of Oregon, North Oregon Coast Range, and Central Oregon Coast Range on Sunday at 6:38 p.m., which is in effect from Monday at 7 a.m. until Tuesday at 4 a.m.
The National Weather Service reports, “South winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 60-65 mph, with higher gusts at beaches, headlands, and the higher terrain of the Coast Range and Willapa Hills.”
Trees and electricity wires will be toppled by damaging winds. There could be widespread power disruptions. Travel will be challenging, particularly for well-known cars, the weather service said.
