Portland basks in warm, dry, mostly sunny weather Wednesday

After an extremely rainy weekend with strong winds that continued into the first part of this week, Portlanders can use the next few days to dry up.

High pressure is expected to provide warm, dry, and largely sunny conditions through Friday, according to the National Weather Service. Additionally, 2025 will see the highest temperatures on record.

In the valleys and in some places even close to the coast, overnight lows have fallen into the 30s. Around dawn, temperatures in some areas of the southern Willamette Valley, from Corvallis to Eugene, may drop below freezing for a short while.

Portland should anticipate a sunny day with highs of about sixty degrees. There may be gusts of up to 23 mph during stormy spells.

Through Friday, fog may form during the night and early morning due to all the clearing. As the morning sun rises higher in the sky, any fog that may appear should soon burn away.

Portland will get more sunshine on Thursday, with just mild winds. The temperature may get to over 64 degrees, and boy, would that be pleasant.

On a bright day with calm breezes, Portland’s high temperature on Friday could get to 65 degrees.

The weather is expected to change during the weekend, according to extended projections. It will be dry and partly sunny on Saturday, with temperatures dropping to around 59 degrees.

A fresh system is expected to move into the area later on Saturday and into Sunday, according to the majority of forecast models. Although there is a chance of rain on Sunday, most locals will see a return to more seasonable high temperatures of about 55 degrees.

Dry weather persists through Saturday, with the biggest likelihood of showers and light mountain snow returning on Sunday. For the remainder of this week, temperatures will be 5–10 degrees higher than normal.Twitter.com/7L8sVs4al0 #wxwa#orwxpic
