A third alleged member of a burglary ring that has targeted over 100 local businesses since last summer was taken into custody by Portland police.
According to court documents, Daniel Blew, 33, is charged with six counts of first-degree burglary and five charges of theft or criminal mischief for his alleged involvement in three burglaries at a pizza place and two cannabis dispensaries.
A probable cause statement states that all of the suspected burglaries took place in east Portland on the evening of September 30. Police used camera footage from a Domino’s Pizza at 1600 SE 122nd Ave. and Green Gratitude and Electric Lettuce on Southeast Holgate Boulevard to identify Blew.
According to the affidavit, footage showed two additional people and a person police identified as Blew breaking into all three companies and taking or causing damage to property. According to the affidavit, they entered each establishment using crowbars and a portable saw after arriving in a black BMW with a Domino’s Pizza sign on the roof. According to the affidavit, they stole less than $100 worth of property from two of the establishments.
According to authorities last month, two further alleged ring members, Courtney Savannah Carlile and Joshua Patrick Lucero, were charged in January after being recognized on camera. According to authorities, the burglaries involved at least seven other people.
