Teenager dead, 2 others injured after pickup truck crashes into FedEx van in Fairview

In Fairview on Wednesday night, a pickup truck collided head-on with a FedEx van, killing a 17-year-old and injuring two more.

Around 6 p.m., the truck crossed the center line and struck the eastbound delivery van as the adolescent who died was traveling west on Marine Drive in a Ford F-150 with another juvenile in the passenger seat, according to a statement from the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office.

The identities of the three crash victims were not made public by the sheriff’s office.

According to investigators, the FedEx driver and the passenger in the pickup truck were transported to a local hospital for treatment after the teen passed away at the site. Although authorities stated that the passenger’s injuries were not life-threatening, it is currently unknown how severe the survivors’ injuries are. According to officials, the FedEx driver suffered serious injuries.

According to investigators, neither alcohol nor narcotics are thought to have contributed to the collision. The investigation by the sheriff’s office is still ongoing.
