According to Yelp, the data science team begins by utilizing the information gathered from community submissions in order to create the top 100 list. We took into account the total restaurant activity in each business’s location, as well as the rating and quantity of reviews. In order to create a list as peculiar, fascinating, and distinctive as the Yelp community itself, we used the knowledge of our community managers and Trend Expert to whittle down the list of potential restaurants.

The top 100 also included three more eateries from Oregon.

Dos Mundos, a Mexican-American food truck in Newberg, came in at number twenty-four.

At number 53 on the list was The Riv Caf, a coffee restaurant in The Dalles that offers substantial brunch cuisine.

Lastly, OC Taco, an Oregon City taco joint that also serves house custom drinks and margaritas, ranked No. 98.

The Yelp list included a good number of casual and reasonably priced eateries. According to the company, Yelp reviewers are enthusiastically giving award-winning dishes that restaurant owners in America create in unusual settings a high rating both at home and when traveling.
