Are Portland parking meters free today, Presidents Day 2025?

On Monday, February 17, Presidents Day, many government offices and services in the Portland area will be closed. Parking meters in the city of Portland are free, with the exception of local parks like Washington Park that charge a fee.

Other closures for Monday’s holiday include the following:

Federal offices are not open.

District of Oregon U.S. District Court: Closed.

State offices in Oregon and Washington are closed.

State courts in Oregon and Washington are closed.

Metro Regional Center: Closed, as are the offices in Portland, Washington, Clackamas, Clark, and Multnomah counties.

Banks: Closed, while certain in-store locations might still be operating.

No regular postal service; U.S. Postal Service offices are closed.

Libraries in Multnomah County are closed.

Washington County libraries: On Monday, February 17, the majority of WCCLS member libraries will be closed. For precise hours, check with your local branch at wccls.org/dates-closed.

Libraries in Clackamas County are closed.

District of the Fort Vancouver Regional Library: Closed.
