The Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office said Monday that they had found a deceased corpse on Sauvie Island.
After receiving a call regarding suspicious conditions, deputies arrived at approximately 1:15 p.m. in the 15200 block of NW Gillihan Road. According to police, the body was discovered near the Willamette River’s banks.
As of Monday evening, neither the identity nor the cause of death had been established. An autopsy will be performed by the Multnomah County Medical Examiner’s Office.
The sheriff’s office is still looking into the death and has not given any information.
