TORONTO At least eight people are hurt, according to paramedics, when a Delta Airlines plane overturned on Monday while it was landing at Toronto’s Pearson Airport.
According to the Canadian Press, seven passengers were hurt on the trip, and one is in critical condition. Social media users shared pictures of the plane flipping over on the tarmac.
On Monday afternoon local time, a landing problem occurred on the Delta flight as it was arriving from Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport.
Around 2:00 PM on Monday, images and videos of a passenger plane upside down on the runway at Toronto Pearson International Airport started making the rounds on the social media site X.
The airport verified on X that all passengers and staff members are safe after an incident involving the Delta flight from Minneapolis. As emergency personnel hosed the plane down, footage from the site showed it upside down on the icy tarmac.
In a post on the social media site X, the airport stated that emergency personnel were responding. Every crew member and passenger is present.

In a statement posted on X, the Association of Flight Attendants—CWA—stated that its union members were responding to the accident.
In response to an incident involving Delta Air Lines Endeavour Flight 4819 in Toronto, our union is taking action. This flight was operated by the AFA crew. There are reportedly no fatalities. As everyone tries to learn more and assist those impacted, kindly refrain from making assumptions about this incident.
In a statement, Delta acknowledged that Endeavour Flight 4819, which was traveling from Minneapolis/St. Paul to Toronto-Pearson International Airport, had been reported to have been involved in an incident.
Premier Doug Ford of Ontario expressed his relief on X that no one was hurt in the incident at Toronto Pearson.
According to Ford, provincial representatives are in communication with the airport and local authorities and will offer assistance if required.

In the last month, it has been at least the fourth serious aviation catastrophe in North America. On January 29, an Army helicopter and a commercial airplane collided close to the country’s capital, killing 67 people. On January 31, a medical transportation plane crashed in Philadelphia, killing six persons on board and one on the ground. Ten people were also killed in an Alaskan plane crash.
