At 1:25 a.m. on Sunday, the National Weather Service issued a high wind warning for the Curry County and South Central Oregon coasts, which would be in effect Monday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
According to the meteorological service, “South winds of 35 to 45 mph with gusts up to 65 mph are expected.”
“Power lines and trees will be brought down by strong winds, causing damage to unprotected property. There may be power outages. The weather service says, “Travel will be challenging, particularly for high-profile vehicles.” Keep an eye out for tree limbs and other debris. If you have to drive, exercise caution.
