Central Texas Schools Announce Closures Ahead of Winter Weather
TEXAS – Central Texas is bracing for winter weather expected next week, prompting several school districts to close their campuses to ensure the safety of students and staff. Below is the current list of closures, which will be updated as more districts announce their plans.
Most schools are already scheduled to be closed on Monday, January 20, in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
School Closures
- Granger ISD
- Schools will be closed on Tuesday, January 21.
- Hays CISD
- Schools and district offices will be closed on Tuesday, January 21, due to inclement weather.
- The district will provide updates regarding closures for Wednesday, January 22, as conditions develop.
