At 3:45 a.m. on Sunday, the National Weather Service issued a strong wind watch for the Lower Columbia Basin of Oregon, which would be in effect from Monday at 10 a.m. to Tuesday at 4 p.m.
According to the meteorological service, “Southwest winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts 45 to 60 mph possible.”
Damaged winds have the potential to topple electrical wires and trees. There could be widespread power disruptions. Travel may be challenging, particularly for well-known cars,” the weather service advises. “Monitor the latest forecasts and warnings for updates.”
