Following a burglary at a gun store in Camas on Tuesday, police and federal investigators are looking into the theft of many guns.
According to a news release, at around two in the morning, Camas police officers responded to a burglary alarm at SafeFire, an indoor shooting range and business located at 4857 NW Lake Road. Upon their arrival, they discovered proof that one or more individuals had broken through the front glass doors.
According to the police, whomever entered the establishment took several firearms and left before they could reach them. The kind of weaponry and the precise number that were taken were not disclosed by the authorities.
On social media, a company representative announced that while the company’s shooting range would be open, its retail location would be shuttered for the next three days.
The local police department and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives are conducting an investigation. If you have any information, call 360-834-4151, according to Camas police.
