Police confirmed to Reuters on Sunday that Kim Sae-ron had been discovered deceased at her residence.
According to a police officer quoted by Yonhap News Agency, “We believe she made an extreme choice and plan to handle it as a suicide.”
A friend who was scheduled to meet Kim at her house discovered the 24-year-old South Korean starlet.
According to the article, police did not find foul play.
Prior to her career being derailed in 2022 after being found guilty of driving under the influence, the actress who starred in Bloodhounds on Netflix starred in a number of other movies and television series.
She apparently took a break from acting and was taken out of multiple Bloodhounds sequences due to the DUI, according to the Yonhap News Agency.
Later this year, she was supposed to play the lead in Guitar Man. However, Yonhap also stated that she had to retreat due to health concerns.
