At the NCAA cross-country meet in November, the 25-year-old Ayyildiz, who is originally from Istanbul, Turkey, earned All-American status while the Ducks women placed fifth. She has won multiple international awards while representing her nation.

The time on Saturday is also a national record for Turkey.
