Portugal. This summer, The Man, Portland’s most peculiar punctuated hit band, will play as the main act at Pickathon at Pendarvis Farm in Happy Valley.
Portugal. During the four-day festival at the farm-turned-temporary-community, Taj Mahal, Haley Heynderickx, Reyna Tropical, and fifty-five more acts from all genres will join The Man.
Pickathon is an interactive experience rather than merely a music festival.
The press release announcing the festival’s program said, “Imagine a stage tucked away in the woods, a bar nestled in a hidden grove, and a spa woven into the landscape,” on Tuesday. This is when Pickathon’s magic really shines.
Pickathon will celebrate its 25th anniversary this summer. According to the press release, in addition to music, there will be comedy, visual art, literature, family programs, artisanal food, craft beer, spirits, and more.
Thursday, July 31 through Sunday, August 3 is when the festival is held.
Tickets are available for purchase now. Adult one-day tickets start at $215 on Friday and Sunday and $240 on Saturday. There are also passes for the weekend. Shuttle trips, parking, lunches, and camping are additional.
