After a recent victory at the Oregon Supreme Court, Yamhill County is moving closer to seizing a local woman’s home after she was found to be distributing meth out of it.
For police departments that are once again permitted to file a civil lawsuit for ownership of money or property connected to a crime, the decision has statewide ramifications.According to the state’s high court, this does not go against the US Constitution’s prohibition on penalizing the same person twice.
