According to officials, the Corbett School District is negotiating a fast-cash loan to assist sustain the rural public school system until the end of the school year.
During a meeting last month, the board members of the east Multnomah County district had planned to finalize the $2 million stopgap agreement with the Multnomah Education Service District. Superintendent Derek Fialkiewicz said the board objected to the planned interest rate and repayment.
