On Thursday morning, as Portlanders awoke to strong winds, snow, and the possibility of freezing rain, red letters began to illuminate the departures board at Portland International Airport.
PDX batted denied any rumors that it could have to close on Thursday morning, but as of 11:40 a.m., 23 flights had been canceled and another 44 had been delayed.
