South Central Oregon Coast and Curry County Coast under a high wind warning Wednesday

The National Weather Service issued a high wind warning for the South Central Oregon Coast and Curry County Coast on Tuesday at 9:58 a.m., which is in effect for Wednesday between 1 and 7 a.m.

It says, “South winds 35-45 with gust up to 65 mph expected.”

Trees and electricity wires will be toppled by damaging winds. There will likely be widespread power outages. Travel will be challenging, particularly for well-known cars, the weather service said. “Avoid windows during the windstorm and stay in the lower floors of your house. Keep an eye out for tree limbs and other debris. If you have to drive, exercise caution.
