Since the two parties came to a disastrous agreement a week ago, Providence’s negotiators and its striking nurses have not met and have no meetings scheduled.
A tentative agreement agreed between the health system and their labor organization, the Oregon Nurses Association, was rejected by over 5,000 nurses at all eight Providence hospitals in Oregon last week, prolonging a strike that started on January 10 and is currently in its fifth week.
