According to Oregon State Police, a suspect was shot and killed by a trooper at the Army Aviation Support Facility #1 in Salem on Thursday morning.
At around ten in the morning, police were called to the building located at 1921 Turner Road SE in response to a report of a suspicious individual.
According to authorities, the suspect was shot and pronounced dead at the scene. Nobody else was hurt. Officials have not disclosed the identity of the deceased or offered any information regarding the incident.
While investigators continue their on-site investigation, Turner Road SE is closed close to the gunshot location.
