The power is on and public transportation is running in the Portland area as winter conditions ease

Over a thousand people were left without power due to winter conditions. On Friday, TriMet buses and trains are operating, and nearly all customers’ lights are back on after Thursday’s heavy traffic in the Portland metro area.

According to an email from TriMet spokesperson Tia York, “We are happy to report no major delays or serious service impacts due to the winter weather.” Although MAX trains are operating all throughout the system, passengers should expect delays and a decrease in frequency.
