TriMet will run MAX trains overnight to keep overhead wires clear, minimize delays Friday

TriMet officials said Thursday that MAX light rail trains in the Portland area will operate overnight to avoid ice accumulation on overhead wires in preparation for Friday morning commuters.

According to TriMet spokesperson Tia York, maintaining clear overhead lines guarantees a consistent connection to the energy source that powers MAX trains.
