The National Weather Service issued an updated strong wind warning for Northern and Eastern Klamath County, Western Lake County, and Central and Eastern Lake County on Sunday at 2:06 p.m. The warning was in effect from Monday at 10 a.m. to Tuesday at 4 a.m.
According to the meteorological service, “Southwest winds of 35 to 45 mph with gusts up to 65 mph are expected.”
Wind gusts have the potential to harm unsecured property or electricity lines. There may be power outages. The weather service says, “Travel will be challenging, particularly for high-profile vehicles.” Keep an eye out for tree limbs and other debris. If you have to drive, drive carefully. Light outdoor items should be secured to avoid loss or damage.
