At 2:12 a.m. on Saturday, the National Weather Service issued an updated high wind watch for the Curry County Coast and the South Central Oregon Coast that will be in effect Monday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
According to the meteorological service, “South winds are 35 to 45 mph with gusts up to 65 mph possible.”
“Damaging winds have the potential to destroy unprotected property, including trees and electricity lines. There may be power outages. Travel may be challenging, particularly for well-known cars, the weather service said. “Monitor the latest forecasts and warnings for updates.”
