Update: Wind advisory for North Central Oregon until Sunday night

The National Weather Service issued an updated wind advisory for North Central Oregon at 1:10 p.m. on Sunday, which was in force until 10 p.m.

Additionally, the weather service states that “Southwest winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 50 mph expected.”

Damaged winds have the potential to topple electrical wires and trees. There could be widespread power disruptions. Travel could be challenging, particularly for cars with a lot of visibility. Unsecured objects will be blown around by gusty gusts. The weather agency says that there may be a few power disruptions and the possibility of tree branches being blown down. Keep an eye on the most recent warnings and forecasts for any developments. Driving in such severe winds can be challenging, particularly for cars with a prominent profile. Be especially careful.
