Wind advisory affecting Inner Portland Metro until early Thursday evening

At 4:52 a.m. on Thursday, the National Weather Service issued a wind advisory for Inner Portland Metro that would last until 4 p.m.

The weather agency advises drivers to exercise extreme caution, particularly when driving a vehicle with a prominent profile. Garbage cans and other easily blown-around items should be secured outside. To avoid frostbite and/or hypothermia, anyone preparing to go outside should exercise common sense and dress appropriately, covering any exposed skin. Avoid staying outside in damp weather as this can make it more likely that the body will cool down and become hypothermic.

United Robots offers a service called Advance Local Weather Alerts that gathers the most recent information from the National Weather Service using machine learning.
