Wind advisory for S. Oregon for Monday and Tuesday

At 1:25 a.m. on Sunday, the National Weather Service issued a wind advisory for Jackson County, Josephine County, Eastern Curry County, Central Douglas County, and Eastern Douglas County Foothills. The advisory was in effect from Monday at 10 a.m. until Tuesday at 1 a.m.

According to the meteorological service, “Southwest winds of 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph are expected.”

“Unsecured objects will sustain damage from gusty winds. The weather agency also warns that power outages and tree damage are possible outcomes. Strong winds like these can make driving challenging, particularly for well-known cars. Be especially careful. Protect outdoor items to avoid loss or damage.
